WAA-HOO! That’s exactly what Blur fans will be singing if this pops up in their Christmas stockings in a few months time.
Blur have announced that they’ll be releasing a five-disc set titled Parklive on December 3, containing four CD’s and one DVD. Ultimate Guitar reports that the first two CDs will feature the entire audio from their gig in Hyde Park for the London 2012 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony – while the DVD will feature the same gig, shot on 12 different cameras.
The third CD will contain another set of live songs recorded over the summer, including the rooftop debuts of new tracks Under the Westway and The Puritan, songs taken from their warm-up show in Wolverhampton, and their BBC Radio Maida Vale session. The final CD is dedicated to the concert Blur – Live At The 100 Club, a special intimate gig that the band played in August.
If that’s not enough, Parklive will contain a 60-page book featuring exclusive photos from the band’s shows across the UK during summer.
