Next month will see the release of the latest album from the incendiary Body Count, the hardcore metal project of hip-hip legend, actor and Twitter champion Ice-T.
It’s called Carnivore, it’s out Friday, 6th March and continues the band’s tradition of politically-charged and socially-conscious lyrics with a bevy of hard riffs. The follow-up to the band’s 2017 album Bloodlust, the new album marks 30 years since Ice-T formed the band alongside guitarist Ernie C in 1990.
Now, the band have released the video for the album’s new single ‘Bum-Rush’, which Ice-T describes as “Another fast moving Body Count track continuing my attempt to wake people up.” It’s the second track we’ve heard from the upcoming release, after the band shared the hard as nails title track back January.
Directed by Jay Rodrigeuz, the video for ‘Bum-Rush’ sees Ice-T and co taking over a television network, commandeering the broadcast and igniting mass revolution through the screens; an ideal visual accompaniment to the heavy-hitting track.
Body Count will head to Europe in June for a string of dates – no word yet on Aussie dates, but given they toured here back in 2017 off the back of Bloodlust, fingers crossed.
