Melbourne punks Bodyjar have announced a special hometown show to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their seminal record How It Works.
The band, who have been going for over two decades, will take to Northcote Social Club in October to play How It Works in its entirety, including career-defining tracks Not The Same and Fall To The Ground.
The release of a special edition vinyl has also been slated with only 500 copies set to be pressed.
When the album was originally released in 2000, back when CDs were the people’s choice, it reached the top 20 of the ARIA charts and was certified gold, meaning more than 35,000 units were moved.
“This album allowed Grant to upgrade to a Playstation 2 and become the king of topspin tennis,” said vocalist Cam Baines in a statement.
“Tom was able to pay off his outstanding fines and warrants, Ross settled his tab at The Labour In Vain Hotel and I finally paid my sister back; so we are happy it gets to see the light of day again on vinyl.”
The live show will be the first time the band has played a few of the songs from the record live.
Tickets go on sale at 9am on 9 July via 24Hundred with general public tickets set to go on sale the following day via Ticketscout. The vinyl will also be available from 9 July.
