UPDATE: Bon Jovi Announce 2018 Australian Tour Dates
ORIGINAL STORY: Bon Jovi haven’t toured Australia since 2013, but a series of strange social media posts suggest they are preparing to announce an upcoming trip down under.
Tour manager Matthew Bongiovi — who is also the younger brother of frontman Jon Bon Jovi — has posted an image from the 2003 movie Kangaroo Jack, with the caption, “Want to runaway with me?”
Bongiovi has also taken to Twitter this week to share a number of cryptic posts which suggest Bon Jovi are preparing to return to Australia.
In one post he says, “We’re off to see the Wizard the wonderful Wizard of……….”

In another he says, “I think it’s about time to plan to runaway as far as I can possibly go……,” which some fans believe means Australia.

Bon Jovi finished their US tour behind new album This House Is Not for Sale last month, and they haven’t toured Australia since their 2013 album What About Now, when they performed in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane.
The band, whose currently lineup includes Jon Bon Jovi, David Bryan, Tico Torres, Hugh McDonald and Phil X, are also currently rumoured to perform at the 2018 AFL Grand Final, although an official announcement is yet to be made.
Judging by the teasers from Matthew Bongiovi, all we have to do is wait for an announcement, and it looks like we’re halfway there.
