Boogie Festival is ready to return in 2013 and has recently announced the first set of acts festival-goers can get down and boogie to. At the top of the list is London trio Kitty, Daisy & Lewis. The family band will be burning down the barn with their combination of blues, country and R&B.
Another headliner is Tony Joe White who, as noted by Boogie Festival, not only played the first Boogie Festival but the event was actually originated as a special show for the 69-year-old songwriter. White wrote the hit song Steamy Windows (as performed by Tina Turner) and his tune Polk Salad Annie was recorded by Elvis Presley.
Other bands on the lineup include Brisbane band Velociraptor, Sydney party-country outfit Little Bastard, and Australian beat poet and pub rockers Don Walker & The Suave Fucks. Boogie Festival 2013 is taking place at Bruzzy’s Farm in Tallarook from Friday, March 29 to Sunday, March 31.
