CONTENT WARNING: The following article discusses alleged sexual misconduct
American singer-songwriter BØRNS has today denied the multiple allegations of sexual misconduct that have been levelled against him recently.
Over the past few days, multiple women on Twitter have accused BØRNS, real name Garrett Clark Borns, of various levels of sexual misconduct.
While it seems that no illegal sexual contact has been alleged, there’s a definitely a running theme of young girls – as young as 16 – allegedly being groomed and manipulated, as well as alleged occurrences of underage pornography and underage drinking. You can read details of all the allegations here.
BØRNS took to Instagram earlier today to release a statement denying the allegations, saying that he is both “hurt and angered” over them.
“All of the relationships I have had were legal and consensual,” he said. “They ended abruptly and that obviously caused hurt feelings, but for anyone to suggest anything beyond that is irresponsible.”
BØRNS was last in the country earlier this year, as the support act for Lana Del Rey’s Australian tour.
