Following their appearance at Gippsland’s UNIFY Gathering in January, Perth hardcore band Break Even will play two warm up shows before they embark on their I’d Rather Be Giggin’ 2015 tour in February. The group will play warm up club gigs in Sydney on Australia Day eve and in Melbourne on 31st January.
Break Even’s Sydney warm-up show will see the band support a secret headliner at Hot Damn!, while the group’s Melbourne date will see them headline a night at BANG!. The performances will be the band’s first club shows in over 2.5 years, with tickets only be available at the door.
Break Even disbanded in 2012, but now have a follow-up to 2009 album The Bright Side in the works. The group recently released new song Young & Bright (below).
The group’s I’d Rather Be Giggin’ tour will see the band play a combo of 18+ and all ages shows around the country between February and March. Break Even have teamed up with Australian youth mental health organisation headspace, to help raise awareness of mental health within the music community throughout the tour.
