Good news for punters at today’s Harvest Festival leg in Melbourne – Grizzly Bear and Santigold will no longer clash with Beck.
Promoter AJ Maddah issued a statement on his Twitter account earlier this hour, saying he has got permission from local authorities to move Grizzly Bear and Santigold’s sets back 30 minutes. See the tweet direct from AJ at the bottom of this page.
The changes now mean that Grizzly Bear will take to the Windmill Stage from 8pm-9pm, kicking off right when Beck finish their set at The Great Lawn (6.45pm-8pm).
Santigold’s set at The Windmill Stage after Grizzly Bear will be from 9.30pm-10.30pm (originally from 9pm-10pm). So that means that if you had to sacrifice them to see headliners Sigur Ros – well, you can now see the tail end of their set, as Sigur Ros finish on The Great Lawn at 10pm.
Harvest have also informed punters via their own Twitter account that bus services have been notified and they will be hanging around to transport punters who are staying right to the end at 10.30pm. Check out all the playing times for the rest of the festival (without the changes mentioned in this article) here.
Melbourne, it took some doing, but we got permission to move Grizzly Bear & Santigold 30 minutes later so no clash w/ Beck! #Harvest2012
