After launching their new limited edition EP Clean at a listening party on home turf last week, Central Coast wunderkinds BRIGHT YELLOW are checking the tyres and putting enough tiger in their tank to take it to the streets of NSW for the first round of the Clean EP tour.
Spawned from a love of all things messy and loud, bright and colourful, rough and nasty and with a raw intensity honed in countless hours of jam sessions in garages and dilapidated houses, this passionate young three piece will be playing their brand of jam infused grunge rock at full volume at three gigs in Sydney and Newcastle before tripping off to Melbourne, Geelong Brisbane, and Tasmania.
Get clean with Bright Yellow at Queens Wharf Brewery in Newcastle on Thursday 10 September, Campbelltown City Hotel on Friday 11 September and wind up at Trash Nightclub at The Agincourt Hotel in Sydney on Saturday 12 September.
Taking in 15 shows through September and October Bright Yellow will look to re-connect with their original fan base and play their first major tour in over two years to a legion of new devotees through New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania. After a self imposed two year lay-off Bright Yellow have re-emerged unwashed and somewhat slightly dazed and preparing to take up where they left the local scene in 2007 when their debut EP ‘Love’s Not a Comfort’ saw the band riding high with major support from triple j and community radio.
Already working on their debut album for release in 2010 Bright Yellow have been together playing music from their heart and soul since their early teens….nothing has changed!!
