Bring Me The Horizon have unveiled a new song from their upcoming album Amo, while also pushing the record’s release date back by two weeks.
The English rockers have released new song ‘Wonderful Life’ as the follow-up to Amo‘s lead single ‘Mantra’, which dropped back in August.
The new song — which features Cradle Of Filth’s Dani Filth — arrives courtesy of a lyric video. Watch the clip in full, below.
Speaking about ‘Wonderful Life’, Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli said the lyrics “were done freestyle in the studio”.
“It’s stream of consciousness type stuff about getting old and out touch, being off tour and loving the mundane things in life,” he said.
“I guess because it’s so novel when your life is mainly spent on the road, things like weekly shops and mowing your lawn are quite nice – people who spend most of their lives away from home can surely relate.
“I guess on top of that there’s this inner crisis I have of being a boring person but still having a desire to go wild inside me every now and again.
“But yeah all in all it’s mostly word vomit… but also some of my favourite lyrics… the beginning is 100 per cent legit and the irony was just too good, so we left it like that.”
Bring Me The Horizon also announced Amo‘s official tracklist today, and revealed they have moved the album’s release date from Friday, 11th January to Friday, 25th January 2019.
According to the tracklist (below), Amo also features contributions from Grimes and Rahzel.
Bring Me The Horizon are scheduled to return to Australia in April 2019 for a headline tour across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
