US RnB shooting star Bryson Tiller is set to land on Aussie turf for Listen Out festival this September, as well as two just-announced headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
The Soundcloud-forged sensation will usher in “a new era of contemporary RnB” at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre and the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall, as part of his first ever world tour.
A double BET Award winner and Grammy nominee, 23-year-old Tiller has collaborated on records with pop heavyweights like Rihanna and DJ Khaled and in the live arena with The Weeknd, but his brand of ‘post-Drake RnB’ is remarkable in the current pop climate, because he raps his records without any featured guests.
“The quiet but inexorable emergence of Bryson Tiller into the big league of genre-bending RnB leads straight onto the Concert Hall stage this September,” says the Sydney Opera House’s Head of Contemporary Music, Ben Marshall.
“Only two albums in but displaying a patient, driven, potent sound as addictive as it is aesthetically considered, Tiller’s meteoric rise has kept intact all his compelling mystique and intrigue. This is a star of his field claiming 2017 as his own on one of the grandest stages around.”
