BTS’ Jin Says The BTS ARMY Provide “refuge and comfort”

BTS member Jin has opened up about the profound impact that the BTS fanbase or ‘ARMY’ as they’re proudly known have had on his life and on his song choices for the upcoming BTS anthology.

Speaking in a new video uploaded by BTS’ label Big Hit Music, the vocalist shares that the selection of ‘Jamais Vu’ and ‘Moon’ were both by his connection to the ARMY.

“I wanted to include ‘Moon’ and ‘Jamais Vu’ so that you could give them another listen. Everyone knows that ARMY and I are inseparable, like the Earth and the moon. And it’s already a well-known fact that this is what ‘Moon’ is about.”

The short video shared on Twitter has been viewed 2.2 million times already and packs a lot of insight into 48 seconds.

Jin also shares a bit of insight into the influence both the ARMY and his fellow BTS members have on his life.

“Whenever things get tough and I get exhausted, I will think of our members and ARMY who have been my refuge and comfort and make more good music. Now, I think we’re at a point where I am ARMY and ARMY are me.  We’ve assimilated into one. The path that I’ve taken so far wouldn’t have been possible without ARMY.”

The video comes as BTS are gearing up to release a 48 track long anthology collection Proof.
Proof
will feature all of BTS biggest hits and fan favourites including their Halsey featuring ‘Boy With Luv’, ‘No More Dream’ and of course the most monstrous of hits ‘Dynamite’.  Additionally and perhaps most excitingly for ARMY members, Proof will feature three brand-new tracks, as well as a disc of previously unreleased demos and fan favourite tracks.  Proof will interestingly only be made available on CD. With the extent of the ARMY’s dedication, this decision could single-handedly revive the flailing format.
