Byron Bay Bluesfest 2014 Third Lineup Announcement

It seemed as though topping the first two Byron Bay Bluesfest 2014 lineup announcements was an insurmountable task. But in classic Bluesfest style, the organisers have outdone themselves once again, with the third delivering Jack Johnson, Elvis Costello, Passenger, and more!

One of the most sought-after Bluesfest artists and a name synonymous with the festival, Jack Johnson will be bringing his trademark charm and acoustic rock stylings to the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, hot off the heels of From Here To Now To You, his third US Billboard #1 album in a row.

Bluesfest is known for legends and they don’t come more legendary than the undisputed king of New Wave, Elvis Costello. With his band The Imposters and a catalogue of classics going back all the way to 1977, this is sure to be an unforgettable Bluesfest performance.

Meanwhile UK native Passenger is slowly becoming a legend in his own right, building a reputation as a formidable songwriting talent and as a performer able to deliver intimate and emotional performances. His single Let Her Go is approaching seven times platinum status in Australia.

There’ll also be much fun and entertainment to be had when RocKwiz Live takes the Bluesfest stage. Their debut this year was an incredible success and they’ll be looking to recapture the laughs and sheer magic when they shoot their 2014 season debut at Byron Bay Bluesfest 2014.

Also making the third announcement are US group Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Australia’s very own queen of country Kasey Chambers, Belgian American multi-instrumentalist Trixie Whitley, New Orleans’ The Soul Rebels and Melbourne’s Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes.

The lineup for Bluefest’s 25th Birthday has already more than delivered on festival director Peter Noble‘s promise of “celebrating this one as never before” and delivering fans “one hell of a line up,” with John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, Boz Scaggs and Gregg Allman just to name a few.

Tickets for this incredible five-day festival, held over the Easter Long Weekend from 17th–21st April at the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, north of Byron Bay, are priced at $515 for the full five days, $385 for three days, and $149 for one day, with plenty of camping and VIP options available.
