Camp Cope guitarist/vocalist Georgia Maq has shared a video of her performing new acoustic track ‘Get Changed’.
It’s part of Bonds’ new Unplugged campaign, which will see the brand share six new original tracks written by Australian songwriters while on their period. So far, we’ve also heard new songs by the likes of G Flip and Alice Skye.
“i wrote this song in the first lockdown because i was lonely and i wanted to feel better about myself. i like the idea of getting changed, not clothing, but changing who you are, learning and evolving into something different, and feeling comfortable enough to share that journey, that experience, with other people,” wrote Maq when sharing her performance.
“we all learn and grow, i am not the same person as i was last week and neither are you, and i think that’s something to be celebrated.”
Watch Maq perform ‘Get Changed’ below. There are performances still to come from Kira Puru, Montaigne and Ali Barter.
Back in March, Maq teamed up with her Camp Cope bandmate Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich (aka Kelso) for a two-track split release, with each contributing a track. Last year, Maq dropped her excellent debut solo album, the electronic-tinged Pleaser.
