Captain Kickarse and the Awesomes is an instrumental psychedelic progressive rock band from Sydney proud as punch about their current EP, Falsimiles From The Facts Machine. It’s their third recording and hears the band at their most frantic; their heaviest, loudest and fastest. A dense wall of panic recorded to tape.
Fresh from the successful launch to a crammed Excelsior Hotel, the Facts Machine is strapped, packed, loaded and on its way to Sydney’s rock n roll hotspots this February.
After ending 2009 with hectic launch gigs, a 10pm main stage set at High & Dry festival and its massive after party at the Annandale Hotel, the band hid from everything in small rooms on big hills to get their shit together for a new decade. Shit like demos for a new record, lullabies, pipe organs and sessions for a future release of home recorded b-side material. Ah sweet January. The serenity.
