As Super Bowl season fast approaches, the world’s largest companies are putting all their billions together to give us cinema-level advertisements with some of the world’s biggest celebrities.
Enter Cardi B, who sits down with Mike Myers and Dana Carvey in character as Wayne and Garth respectively of Wayne’s World for a new Uber Eats Super Bowl ad.
“As a local access show, we want everyone to support local restaurants,” Wayne says in the ad, before introducing their ‘shameless celebrity cameo’ Cardi B.
The three of them then do a TikTok-inpsired outfit swap, at one point with all three of them wearing Garth’s classic Garb. They then do a remix of the classic theme song from the film: “Local eats / Wayne’s World / Yummy time / Excellent!”
Cardi B is enjoying a huge few weeks. At the end of last month, she made history as her – and Megan Thee Stallion – became the highest ranking women of colour ever on triple J’s Hottest 100 when their track ‘WAP’ came in at #6 on 2020’s countdown.
In addition, Cardi is all set to release the follow-up to ‘WAP’, ‘Up’, this Friday.
