Shortly after the gig went ahead, Chance The Rapper reached out to his fans on Twitter, thanking the artists who stepped in for him at the last minute and revealing that he had been diagnosed with pneumonia. “Thank you @joeyBADASS and @AndersonPaak for filling in for me and supporting a great cause. GREAT Men. I got pneumonia but #Chance3 still,” he said.

The reference ‘#Chance3 still’ appears to confirm that this latest bout of illness won’t get in the way of the Friday, 13th May release of his new mixtape Chance 3.
This isn’t the first time that Chance The Rapper has had to pull out of a gig due to sickness, after he was forced to cancel his 2014 Coachella set after being hospitalised for an undisclosed reason.
