Last week Childish Gambino launched an app called PHAROS Earth, featuring little more than a mysterious countdown timer.
When the timer ran out it unveiled a series of three shows at Joshua Tree in California this September. Most significantly, though the app promises “new music” and the “full album experience”, hinting at the live premiere of a brand new album from Gambino – the first since 2013’s Because The Internet.
Little other information has been revealed, other than that the shows will feature camping, and when the pre-sale will be available later this month. At this stage, the app is only available in the United States.
