Chris Brown Under Investigation For Allegedly Hitting A Woman At His Home

CONTENT WARNING: The following article contains discussions and descriptions of physical assault and abuse.

Chris Brown has found himself under police investigation after allegedly striking a woman at his Los Angeles home last week.

As reported by PEOPLE, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to Brown’s home after a woman reported that a suspect had struck her in the face. However, TMZ had reported that the suspect – who they claim is Brown – slapped her in the back of the head so hard that her hair extensions came off.

LAPD have confirmed that the suspect was not at the location by the time officers had arrived. LAPD spokeswoman officer Lizeth Lomeli gave a statement to US Magazine, saying “the female victim advised she and the suspect argued and the suspect struck her.

“A crime report for battery was completed.”

The LAPD media department confirmed this week (June 22) that Brown is being looked into to see if he had any involvement in the incident. Brown has yet to publicly comment.

Of course, Brown has a noted history of alleged domestic violence. In 2009, he was charged with felony assault after physically assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna, who was hospitalised due to her injuries.

In 2017, his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran won a five year restraining order against Brown, after she claimed Brown threatened to kill her and also allegedly sent threatening text messages.
