The Living End’s Chris Cheney has written and recorded vocals for a track on 360‘s next album.
In an interview with Music Feeds to be published next week, Cheney told yours truly details of the recent collaboration with his management labelmate.
It follows up from a picture of the guys together in the studio, which 360 posted on his Facebook on Wednesday. ‘Six’ also confirmed the news by re-tweeting my tweet about the collaboration last night.
Cheney said that the collaboration came about as a result of the duo’s growing friendship – which kick-started when 360 joined The Living End on stage for their hit How Do We Know at the Gold Coast and Melbourne Big Day Out this year. (Watch the video of that at the bottom of this page)
“I just wrote a song; it’s what I’ve been doing (at home) in LA, writing a whole heap of different songs, some for some other people.
“So I just wrote something which I thought might appeal to him, sent it to him, and he loved it.”
“So we’re kind of collaborating on that and I’m planning on singing on it as well, it’s a cracker.”
When asked if he thinks the song will appear on 360’s new album, Cheney said “Yeah, for sure!”
Both acts will be performing at next weekend’s Gold Coast 600 V8 Supercars Race, so who knows, maybe we might see a bit of sneak preview…
