Sydney’s elegant wastoids Circle Pit have announced the launch of their debut album Bruise Constellation on home soil at the Oxford Arts Factory on Wednesday 26th May with support from Songs, Lost Animal and Dead Farmers.
Forming just over two years ago in the backwaters of Sydney, Circle Pit’s Jack Mannix and Angela Bermuda have since recruited members of Atrocities to fill out their live sound and recreate the well-crafted song writing and energy that comprises Bruise Constellation, culminating in a kaleidoscope of sounds from glam, garage, glitter and grunge.
The launch follows up the band’s recent National support of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and recent attack on Melbourne with a string of shows and an exhibition at Somewhere Gallery of their personally constructed universe documenting the creative partnership of Angela and Jack.
Bruise Constellation is a roadmap of underage prostitution and the horror of addiction, all set to the kind of music that makes you want to dance, break the law and wish you were jailbait once again, just for the fun of it.
