City and Colour – AKA Dallas Green – was supposed to be kicking off an Australian tour in a couple of weeks in support of latest album A Pill for Loneliness. Obviously, coronavirus concerns and the subsequent restrictions around large gatherings have meant that those dates have had to shift around a little.
There’s good news on the horizon, though, as Green has today announced rescheduled dates for the tour will take place October and November of this year.
The new tour dates will see City and Colour shows in many major Australian cities, kicking off Saturday, 31st October in Fremantle before continuing on to Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart, Brisbane and Sydney. As per the previously planned dates, Melbourne songwriter/total legend Alex Lahey will join Green as a special guest for all rescheduled shows.
“I have always appreciated how welcoming you’ve been to me and I love Australia like it’s my home away from home,” commented Green in a statement to fans. “Your well-being is top priority. Take care of one another and stay safe.”
All previously-purchased tickets will be valid for the new dates, but refunds will be available from point of purchase for those who are unable to make the new shows work.
