Melbourne four-piece City Calm Down will release their debut album, In A Restless House, this September. What’s more, the band have shared a first taste of the full-length effort with lead single Rabbit Run, and announced a one-off headline show in their home city.
City Calm Down made their debut with the Movements EP back in 2012, and have released the singles Pavement and Speak To No End since then. When In A Restless House arrives in only a few months time, it will be the culmination of three years of work by the band.
The first single to be lifted from the album, Rabbit Run (below), is driven by frontman Jack Bourke’s low-register vocals and bassist Jeremy Sonnenberg’s bare bass lines.
In celebration of the new track, City Calm Down will play a headline show at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club in July, giving fans the chance to hear new tunes before In A Restless House is finally released.
