Alt-pop queen, Clairo has started a new band called Shelly. It’s a collaboration between her and friends Claud, Josh Mehling and Noa Frances Getzug and we already have the first two singles.
‘Steeeam’ and ‘Natural’ are these lovely chill, alt-pop slow burners that are sure to delight any Clairo fan.
Sharing the news via Instagram, Clairo wrote, “My best friends and I made a band and put out an A/B side- ‘Steeeam’ and ‘Natural’ we created everything during quarantine in LA, Chicago, Houston and Atlanta. hope you check it & enjoy.”
The last full-length release we received from Clairo was 2019’s Immunity.
We were meant to receive an Aussie tour from her back in April of this year alongside a string of Groovin’ The Moo performances. Neither tour went ahead due to COVID-19.
You can catch both Shelly tracks ‘Steeeam’ and ‘Natural’ below.
