Clea Takes On Mark Ronson And Miley Cyrus’ ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’ For ‘Like A Version’

Dreamy alt-indie artist Clea stepped into the triple j studios this week to perform her rendition of Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus’ ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’ for Like a Version.

Bringing a new perspective to the lyrics by simply twisting the song with her own sound, the cover is this dark, but arrestingly beautiful.

Slowing the song down and somewhat ‘minimising’ the sound with the instrumentals featuring these pretty acoustic guitar and violin sounds, Clea strips the track down to be more narrative-central.

Clea also performed her original, ‘Dreaming’, sounding just as pretty and ethereal as the studio version.

The Brisbane artist released the accompanying video for her new single ‘Right Way’ earlier this week, a hazy, tranquil kind of clip.

Clea kicks off her national tour tonight in Adelaide at Rocket Bar.
