Cold War Kids Confirm Splendour In The Grass 2013 Appearance

Another act has been more or less locked in for Splendour In The Grass 2013 – US indie-rockers Cold War Kids.

FasterLouder reports that the band’s frontman – Nathan Willett – told them in a soon-to-be-published interview that they will be coming for the festival in late July, with an announcement expected “sometime soon”.

The info comes on the back of the band hinting to Zan Rowe on triple j that they would be in the country for some shows mid-year. Here’s the excerpt which FasterLouder have published:

In an interview you did with triple j presenter Zan Rowe at South by Southwest last week, you said you’d be in Australia sometime in the middle of the year – will that be for Splendour again?

Yeah, I think we’re announcing that sometime soon.

Do you know if you’ll be playing any headline shows as well?

I think so.

The news comes on top of British electro star James Blake also self-confirming himself for the festival while he was in town for shows in Sydney and Melbourne this week.

Splendour In The Grass 2013 takes place at its new venue of the North Byron Parklands in Bryon Bay from 26th-28th July. Check out our rumour mill here.
