As their December Australian tour approaches, UK titans Coldplay are letting Aussie fans do some of the heavy lifting, leaving them with the responsibility of selecting the setlist for their shows.
The band have taken to social media to open the floor to fan suggestions, allowing for one suggestion per fan. Scrolling through the responses, it appears a lot of people struggled with the one-per-person rule, and the setlist for the show might end up being 2011’s Mylo Xyloto album track Us Against The World on repeat.
Fans from India, New Zealand and Australia are all being encouraged to throw their suggestions in the mix ahead of Coldplay’s upcoming shows in those countries. To enter, you’ll need to first select not just any Coldplay song, but one “which the band don’t usually play” which, well, could be a lot of songs.
Then you’ll need to record a 15-second video explaining your selection, upload it to Instagram, hashtag the song name, tag the band and then select from a series of hashtags for each leg of the tour. So, tbh, after all that you pretty much deserve a personalised performance.
