Connan Mockasin will play his first ever headlining gigs in Sydney and Melbourne when the New Zealand born psychedelic pop musician tours Australia as part of St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2015.
The sideshows will take place on Wednesday, 4th February at the Goodgod Small Club in Sydney and Thursday, 5th February at Melbourne’s Howler. Mockasin will be touring behind his second studio album, Caramel, released last year.
The NZ act said he chose the LP’s title because “the word ‘caramel’ sounded so nice.” Fans headed to Goodgod, Howler or Laneway will witness Mockasin’s instinctual blend of soul, hip hop, and pop, which all come together on Caramel.
Along with Mockasin, Laneway 2015 boasts a strong lineup including acts like Mac DeMarco, Royal Blood, and FKA twigs. Tickets for Laneway 2015 are on sale now. Special guests for Mockasin sideshows are to be announced. Tickets on sale now.
