Converse Australia are launching Acts of Disruption, that will feature performances from Australia’s most exciting and emerging bands. The first event will be held in Sydney on Friday, May 11 at the recently vacated Rozelle Hospital, with stalwarts of the underground Melbourne scene, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, as the first band.
Acts of Disruption was launched by Converse in late 2011, originally touring China where bands were played around various obscure and off-the-beaten-track locations. The aim is to disrupt the traditional live music and tour mentality, asking bands where they want to play and then making it happen.
