Corrosion of Conformity have never been ones to let down their fans and they really didn’t plan on starting now. Following the unfortunate cancellation of their debut tour of Australia, the heavy metal veterans are proud to announce they will now be moving forward with dates later this month.
The North Carolina punk-metal pioneers — bassist Mike Dean, drummer Reed Mullin, and guitarist Woody Weatherman — established a reputation in the early ’80s as one of the heavy music world’s most uncompromising bands, unrelentingly delivering crushing riffs and blistering live performances.
The band are perhaps best known for their 1985 album, Animosity, which is still hailed as one of the most important crossover albums of all time. Fans and critics alike continue to laud Animosity for providing a bridge between the worlds of metal and punk to forge an entirely new sonic headspace.
Corrosion of Conformity will kick off their debut Australian tour on Thursday, 24th July at Crowbar in Brisbane, before cruising down the East Coast for shows at Sydney’s Factory Theatre and Melbourne’s Reverence Hotel. This tour is not to be missed, check below for all dates and details.
