Counting Crows Plus Stacks More Added To Bluesfest 2013 Lineup

Just when you thought that the lineup for next year’s Bluesfest was already bursting at the seams, organisers have gone ahead, much to our delight, and added a whole heap more bands to the mix. Joining an already legendary selection of artists will be the likes of Counting Crows, The Lumineers and plenty more goodness.

The latest lineup addition could actually be big enough to be its own festival. Taj Mahal have been added to the bill as well as Shuggie Otis, Kitty Daisy & Lewis and Ben Howard. In one fell swoop, Bluesfest has managed to provide a perfect cross section of blues, rock, alternative, reggae, jam, gospel, soul, and all the rest for their already spoiled clientele.

“It’s one hell of a line up and I am really proud,” says top dog Peter Noble of the new additions, adding, “This announcement is a pick of many genres; it’s a cross section with a very strong Blues but also Rock component which we don’t normally book very much but is multiplied in this release. There is Blues Rock, American Rock, Funk Rock, Jam Rock, Roots Rock, Indie Rock, Surf Rock – it’s hard to imagine there are that many different types of rock genres but we have them all in this announcement.”

Along with the additions comes word that Ben Harper will be performing a special solo show on Good Friday. Byron Bay is the place to be for Easter, 2013!
