Celeb-packed videos are usually reserved for the Taylor Swifts of the world but Courtney Barnett has pulled together a mighty impressive cast for her new video Elevator Operator.
Sleater-Kinney, Magda Szubanski, Paul Kelly, Tim Rogers and more all feature in the clip which stars Barnett dresses as a, you guessed it, elevator operator.
She looks very dapper in her uniform and is joined in the elevator by a colourful array of characters. She even manages to join Rogers at the beach and Kelly at the bowling alley before she’s disrupted by a very impatient Szubanski.
It’s the closest thing to a big budget epic that a humble Aussie musician has come and it’s entertaining in so many ways.
Elevator Operator is taken from her 2015 debut record Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometime I Just Sit which has seen her play some of the world’s biggest stages like Coachella and Glastonbury.
