Crime And The City Solution, Sleepy Sun Announce All Tomorrow’s Parties Sideshows

Crime and the City Solution look likely to play the All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival after locking in sideshows with fellow ATP act Sleepy Sun in February.

The band, who were resurrected by founding member Simon Bonney last year, have gone through countless lineup changes since they formed in 1977. Along with Bonney, the current lineup features Alexander Hackey (Einstrzende Neubauten, who are also on the ATP bill), Jim White (The Dirty Three) and David Eugene Edwards (16 Horsepower, Woven Hands).

Fasterlouder reports that although the band aren’t officially listed on the ATP bill yet, Bonney recently mentioned on Facebook that they had an offer to play the festival. However, part of the deal was for a local promoter to stage some sideshows featuring the band around the festival dates. This effectively led to Bonney calling out for a sideshow promoter – and it looks like local promoter Heathen Skulls Touring has jumped on board.

Supporting Crime and the City Solution are San Francisco-based psychadelic rockers Sleepy Sun, who are already performing on the first day of ATP. Sleepy Sun have also announced their own headline shows in Adelaide and Perth around the festival and Sleepy Sun support dates.

All Tomorrow’s Parties will be staged at the Westgate Entertainment Centre and Grand Star Reception in Altona, Melbourne on February 16 and 17, headlined by My Bloody Valentine.
