Crystal Castles member Ethan Kath (real name Claudio Palmieri) is under investigation for alleged sex crimes.
The Daily Beast has confirmed that Palmieri is being investigated by sex crimes police in Toronto, with “sources with knowledge of the investigation” telling the publication that the investigation includes complaints “from several women”.
A woman involved in the investigation has also reportedly alleged that Palmieri started communicating with her online when she was 15, and “initiated a sexual relationship” when she was 16.
“I want this guy’s insane horrible mistreatment of underage girls to be out in the open for everyone to know and to protect themselves,” she told The Daily Beast.
News of the police investigation involving Palmieri comes after former Crystal Castles frontwoman Alice Glass accused Palmieri of rape and assault earlier this year. Palmieri later filed a defamation lawsuit against Glass, denying all allegations.
Palmieri toured Australia with his current Crystal Castles bandmate Edith Frances between May and June.
