Brazilian electro-pop troupe CSS have revealed that their third album is on the way. La Liberacion is due for release on August 29, and is their first album V2/Co-operative/Downtown after leaving Sub Pop.
The album is the follow up to their 2008 effort, Donkey. La Liberacion was recorded in CSS’s native Sao Paulo in their own studio. It also features collaborations with Primal Scream singer Bobby Gillespie and electronic duo Ratatat. Pitchfork reports that singer Lovefoxx’s “mantra for the record is ‘Rip Shit’?”
The band are off round the US with Sleigh Bells and have plans to head to Europe later in the year.
