Sydney’s own Dappled Cities will be doing a run of Australian tour dates on the back of their fourth studio album Lake Air. This will be their first national headline tour in more than 2 years. They’ll be visiting most capital cities around the country, including two shows in Darwin.
Fans who are excited about the tour have an extra incentive to purchase tickets early and secure a limited edition copy of Lake Air on vinyl, which will be waiting for them at each show. Dappled bassist Alex Moore says of the new release: “Lake Air was the album we always wanted to make. Playing it live is going to be something really, really special. We are so damn excited. Prepare to get unreal.”
Critically acclaimed European electro/pop artist JAPE will join the circuit as special guest on this tour. JAPE’s album Ocean of Frequency was recently awarded the Irish Album of the Year. Currently based in Sweden, JAPE’s inclusion on the tour is a rare treat for Australian audiences.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, 21st August. Advance tickets will be on sale for $20 + bf (* ex Darwin $25). Exclusive ticket + ‘Lake Air’ vinyl (to be collected at venue) will be $40.
