It’s been a sorry couple of years, but Meredith Music Festival has confirmed its return in December 2022. This year’s festival will run from Friday, 9th – Sunday, 11th December, at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre in Meredith, Victoria.
In a short statement, the festival organisers said that the ticket ballot will open in “another month or two.” Interested punters must be registered for the ballot in order to buy tickets for the festival. Not everyone gets drawn in the ballot, and the event almost always sells out in an instant.
To register, email the festival at auntym@mmf.com.au or subscribe here.
Meredith was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid. MMF’s sister event, Golden Plains, went ahead in March 2020, but was cancelled in 2021 and 2022. The 2019 MMF lineup included Liam Gallagher, Róisín Murphy, Cate Le Bon, Briggs, Helena Hauff, Amyl and the Sniffers, Julia Jacklin, Viagra Boys, The Egyptian Lover, Christine Anu, DJ Koze and more.
Golden Plains 2020 featured Pixies, Sampa the Great, Bill Callahan, Stereolab, Sleaford Mods, Hot Chip, Weyes Blood, Ezra Collective, Simona Castricum, Mwanje, The Black Sorrows and stacks more.
This year’s event will be the 30th Meredith Music Festival. Stay tuned for more updates.
