Neil Young has revealed intentions to collaborate with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl. The news came during a recent live Twitter Q&A session in which fans were given the opportunity to ask Young questions in the lead-up to the release of Psychedelic Pill, which comes out today.
During the Q&A session one fan inquired into the possibility of Young and Grohl working together, posting the question, “Have you ever thought of recording a song with Dave Grohl? I think you should.” Young’s response was simple and affirmative, “Yes, I think we will”.
When and where this apparent collaboration between Grohl and Young will take place is a mystery for the moment. With the Foo Fighters officially on hiatus and Grohl’s upcoming Sound City documentary nearing completion it would seem as though the timing is right for what would truly be a dream teaming.
As noted by Ultimate Guitar, the 66-year-old Young opened his Twitter account specifically to promote his second album of 2012, Psychedelic Pill. During the Q&A, Young expressed his like of Jack White, Radiohead and Bob Dylan’s new record Tempest, while also taking a little jab at Bono from U2.
