Dave Grohl has been on a serious covers hot-streak recently (like – seriously), and the world’s biggest rockstar has delivered again, this time taking on Van Halen mega-hit ‘Jump’.
Coming as part of he and producer Greg Kurston’s Hanukkah covers series, the song sees Grohl handle vocal and drum duties, while Kurston pumps out those controversial synth lines, topped off by some virtuosic keytar playing and some proper Bill and Ted styled shenanigans. Check it out below.
It’s the second time the pair have done a Hanukkah covers’ series, with the duo taking on songs made famous by Jewish rockers over the years.
Quite possibly the loudest and proudest of hard-rocking Jews, David Lee Roth has gone on record crediting his Bar Mitzvah preparation as his earliest vocal training,” said Grohl via his main band Foo Fighters Twitter account (said Lee Roth quote has yet to be tracked down by this writer).

Other songs to receive the Dave Grohl / Greg Jurston treatment so far this year include Lisa Loeb’s ‘Stay (I Missed You), The Ramone’s ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’, and Barry Manilow’s ‘Copacabana’.
