Just a quick reminder that — if you’re a punk, rock, hardcore or metal band from Victoria — then you’ve still got a shot at playing UNIFY next month.
The annual heavy music gathering is back with a vengeance in 2022 with an event dubbed ‘UNIFY Forever’, celebrating the festival’s legacy as a celebration of homegrown artists and the heavy music community itself.
The Amity Affliction and Violent Soho are on headlining duties, alongside a stacked lineup featuring the likes of Short Stack, Thornhill, Ocean Grove, WAAX, Yours Truly, RedHook (hey, that’s my band!) and loads more.
And if you’d like to be in with a shot at warming up the stage when the mosh party returns to Tarwin Lower from Thursday, 20th to Sunday 23rd January, all you have to do is upload a track to triple j Unearthed by midnight AEST next Sunday, 9th January.
That means you’ve got one week left to have a crack, if you don’t already have music uploaded to the Unearthed website.
