Adhering faultlessly to their usual MO of utter unpredictability, LA-based experimental hip-hop provocateurs Death Grips have dropped a new album that features contributions from Björk. Titled Niggas On The Moon, the album is part one of a double LP the group have titled The Powers That B.
Taking to Facebook, Death Grips write that the second half of The Powers That B will be titled Jenny Death, and fans can expect the whole album to receive a proper release later this year via Harvest / Third Worlds Records. Readers can download Niggas On The Moon for free here or stream it below.
“This is Niggas On The Moon, featuring Björk on all [eight] tracks. It is the first instalment of our new double album, The Powers That B, due out later this year on Harvest / Third Worlds Records. The second disc is titled Jenny Death. Peace & love,” reads the band’s full statement, via Facebook.
The controversial group released their third full-length album, Government Plates, back in November, likewise giving it away to fans for free online, as has become their custom. The LP’s release came shortly after the band drew ire from fans for their infamous no-show at Lollapalooza.
