US outfit Deftones have joined an increasing trend of rock bands creating their own exclusive beers, announcing the launch of their very own IPA.
Last year Queen unveiled a ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ Pilsner, and 2016 has already seen DZ Deathrays team up with Young Henrys and Violent Soho collaborate with Stone & Wood to create their own respective band brews.
Now, Deftones have joined the party, launching their own brew called ‘Phantom Bride’. The name is reference to a track by the same name from their most recent album, Gore.
The beer is being touted as a West Coast style India Pale Ale according to a press release, and is being brewed using a mixture of different hops handpicked by band founder Chino Moreno.
The new brew is being created in collaboration with San Diego-based brewery the Belching Beaver Brewery, and will go on sale in the US on Monday, 3rd October.
Check out the beer alongside its namesake song, below.
