Demi Lovato is opening up about her 2018 overdose in her forthcoming documentary, Dancing with the Devil. In a trailer released overnight, Lovato shares what happened.
Back in 2018 it was reported that Lovato was suffering complications from a reported overdose.
At the time she released a statement saying, “I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.”
Now, in the trailer for Dancing with the Devil, she touches on what those complications looked like.
“I had three strokes. I had a heart attack. My doctors said that I had five to ten more minutes,” says Lovato on the overdose.
“I’m rebirthing. I’m starting over,” she says.
On the doco, Demi Lovato says, “I’ve been holding [Dancing with the Devil] incredibly close to my heart, and now it’s time to share an inside look.”
You can watch the trailer below. Dancing with the Devil is set for release Friday, 23rd March on Youtube.
