Perth’s biggest New Year’s Eve party has just gotten another boost, with the announcement that South African rap-rave duo Die Antwoord will join the Origin NYE 2016 lineup.
Origin NYE was already set to kick off 2017 in style, with a bill featuring Chance The Rapper, Chase & Status, Noisia, What So Not and heaps more.
Now the enigmatic Cape Town duo and stars of 2015 indie film Chappie, Ninja and Yo-Landi will head down under with a brand new album in tow. Their new record is due out this September and will be titled Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid.

UPDATE: It didn’t end here! Organises behind Origin Festival have announced A$AP Rocky as their international headliner who’ll be stopping by for an exclusive one-off performance.
UPDATE 18/10/2016: Pendulum have been added to the bill with the original trio to perform a DJ set, in their first Aussie show since 2008.
