Die Antwoord have called in a few favours for their new music video Ugly Boy, enlisting an impressive cast to musicians and personalities to cameo in the clip. Jack Black, the ATL Twins, Flea, and Marilyn Manson all make appearance along with models Cara Delevingne and Dita Von Teese.
Some of the guest stars, like Black, appear disfigured and essentially serve as props in the bizzare world of Die Antwoord. Most of the heavy lifting falls to Delevingne and Von Teese, with Von Teese appearing in a provocative Games of Thrones-esque scene, and Delevingne being charged with dacking Die Antwoord’s Ninja.
Rumours have made the rounds that Aphex Twin, whose track Ageispolis is sampled in Ugly Boy, is the mysterious hooded man that appears throughout the video, though Pitchfork reports this isn’t the case.
The clip may also explain why Ninja made a surprise appearance during Marilyn Manson’s Halloween gig.
The music video was directed by Ninja and produced by partner ¥o-Landi vi$$er. Ugly Boy is lifted from Die Antwoord’s latest album Donker Mag, released earlier this year.
