Two of the biggest songs of the past 12 months contained a collaboration between Diplo and either Justin Bieber or MØ, and now, in a true clash of the titans, all three will be working together for a forthcoming Major Lazer track set to drop later season.
The track was confirmed half by Bieb’s eloquent tweets, half by a straight up announcement from Diplo confirming the track will premiere on Beats 1. The beatsmith revealed the summer time jam will be called Cold Water and will be featured on the forthcoming Major Lazer record.
Earlier in the year, Diplo confirmed that the Where Are Ü Now alumni would be working together again, detailing “a crazy track that we never put out with [Justin Bieber], like a rap song, that you might see in the summertime.” Could the aforementioned summer time jam be this rap offering from the Pop prince?
Where Are Ü Now, the collab between Jack U and Bieber is most likely already stuck in your head again just from reading the name, and Lean On, one of the most streamed singles of all time from Major Lazer and MØ dominated the charts last year. It’s now we feel an all too human chill as we think what a collab with all three will do to the airwaves.
In a good way, though, right?
@diplo when are we bringing this new music?
