Detroit native DJ Benzi is absolutely killing it at the moment with a relentless schedule of releases that includes his Sky High mixtape with Kanye West, the Paper Route Gangstaz CD on Mad Decent with Diplo, and, going back a few months, the Motivation project hosted by Lil Jon. These joints come on the back of his patented “refixes”, the refreshing work he has done with The Clipse and Lil Wayne on the popular We Got The Remix series and recent remixes for the likes of Aailayh, Beyonce, Kid Cudi, Kid Sister, Mike Posner, Cool Kids, Wale & Lady Gaga.
Next cab off the rank is a remix project for N.E.R.D, before we hear his touch on the new 10Deep mixtape by Donnis and the next Paper Route Gangstaz album, which this time will be an official release on Koch Records. All this happening in between episodes of his trademark Get Right radio show, and DJ subscription service through which he services the upper echelon of party DJs with the latest, greatest and rarest rap /club hybrids. Meanwhile, its coast to coast, city to city for Benzi, grinding out one late night from the next as one of the America’s busiest DJ/producers – heading our way for his first trip to the Oz.
