Sydney lads DMA’S have returned with their first piece of original material since the release of their debut album Hills End in March 2016.
The newie, titled ‘Dawning’, arrives alongside two new east coast shows from the band, which will see them perform songs new and old in Sydney and Melbourne this November.
DMA’S have been working on a new album with The Presets’ Kim Moyes this year, and ‘Dawning’ is the first taste of things to come.
“We feel like ‘Dawning’ gives people the opportunity to decide what the song means to them,” says singer Tommy O’Dell. “While the message of the song is quite dark, we also wanted create a piece of music that sounds uplifting and hopeful.”
‘Dawning’ is the first new track from DMA’S since their stunning cover of Cher’s ‘Believe’ arrived in October last year.
