Donald Trump Reportedly DJ’d At Mar-a-Lago Over The Weekend

Over the weekend, guests at the members-only Mar-a-Lago resort club in Palm Beach, Florida reportedly received a DJ set courtesy of the club’s owner himself – former US President Donald Trump.

Last week, New York Times journalist Maggie Haberman shared a memo that she said members of the club received on Wednesday (2nd February). The note advised members that “great music” would be played during dinner at the club on Friday and Saturday evening, “with President Trump playing the role of disc jockey.”

The memo went on to say, “The music will be amazing, it will be lots of fun, and will go until the late evening… We look forward to seeing everyone again very soon!”

It’s unclear what form Trump’s DJ role took – whether he was actually on the decks themselves or simply curated a playlist. Nor is it known what tunes the former president played for guests over the weekend – his past campaign songs have included the Rolling Stones‘ ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ and ‘Y.M.C.A’ by the Village People.

Democratic US House representative Eric Salwell was among those who mocked the memo, joking that Trump’s playlist would include the likes of ‘Don’t You Forget About Me’ by Simple Minds and ‘Loser’ by Beck.

Trump has owned the Mar-a-Lago estate since 1985, using its mansion as a private residence for eight years before turning it into the Mar-a-Lago Club. He visited the club often during his time as president, and it has been his main residence since 2019.
