ORIGINAL STORY: The grand unveiling of Download Festival‘s much-hyped lineup for its 2019 Melbourne and Sydney events is now less than a week away (!), so it’s time to consider which acts we could see on next year’s roster.
While a number of big-name bands have already been ruled out of Download 2019 — Smashing Pumpkins have pretty much ruled out any Aussie tour, while Metallica are performing in the US at the time of Download — there are still some major acts who at least appear to be on the cards for an appearance at Download.
Download organisers have already claimed their 2019 lineup will be a “corker”, so we’re expecting bigger things than this year’s roster, which was headlined by Korn, Limp Bizkit and Prophets Of Rage.
Their new lineup will be announced at 8:30am AEST next Wednesday, 19th September, before Download takes place at Sydney’s Parramatta Park and Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse in March.
Until then, gaze into our crystal ball of educated guesses (and some wishful thinking), below.
